"All-on-4" for edentulous jaws is a treatment procedure that uses tilting posterior implants. This facilitates an optimal support for an acrylic bridge that can be fabricated and functioning within just a few hours after surgery. Allowing our patients to leave the office with Beautiful Teeth Today

Successful prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with severe bone resorption in the maxilla is often compromised by the inability to obtain sufficient anchorage for the prosthesis. Such patients seek a permanent solution that involves minimal surgical procedures and reduced treatment time, without sacrificing their expectations of success.

The development of the Zygoma implant presents a unique alternative for rehabilitating the severely resorbed maxilla, with only one surgical procedure and without the need for grafting

Overdentures (Removable Implant Supported Dentures)

  • Individuals with complete dentures can benefit from the placement of 2-8 dental implants to stabilize or eliminate their dentures.
  • Anchoring down dentures with implants can eliminate jaw bone loss, loose dentures, sore spots from dentures, food under dentures and embarrassing denture slippage. In addition, the biting force is increased resulting in a more natural bite.

  2. After 2-6 months (to allow for the implants to heal into the bone), the abutments or posts are connected to the implants.
  3. A custom gold bar is fabricated and attached  to the posts
  4. The denture is stabilized through attachments that are inside the prosthesis.

This is an example of how ball retainers and implants can be used  to stabilize a denture. Resulting in a removable implant supported denture.

Click above to see a 3-D video on how four Dental Implant and a custom bar are used to stabilize a denture Whenever planning a retaining bar in the upper jaw, it is better to place more than five dental implants to hold the bar. In the above dental implant picture, an implant supported retainer bar holds an upper denture in place. There are five dental implants holding the custom bar.

In many cases, if the patient wishes to later build a fixed natural like bridge, this can be done using the same previously placed dental implants
