Maxillary Overdenture on Four Locators
"When I first got my original denture, I could never talk right or taste my food. Eventually it started getting loose. I really hated having this big piece of plastic in my mouth. When I found out there was an affordable solution of having less plastic in mouth with fewer implants, I jumped at the opportunity. The procedure and aftermath was comfortable and once it was finished, I was very satisfied." -S.S.
No more dentures! This patient wore a full upper denture for years, but experienced difficulties in talking, chewing, and tasting her food. Without any incisions, four implants were placed with locator attachments. A new overdenture with a metal frame reinforcement was constructed and affixed to the four implant locators, which kept it stable. This solution also freed the patient from a bulky denture that would have covered the whole palate. This improved talking and chewing.
